Walk 5 minutes in another direction, past a totem pole, and you are at the
Vancouver Museum & Maritime Museum located in Kitsilano's Vanier Park. You can view breathtaking vistas of the city while exploring Vancouver's history.

You can continue another 10 minutes walk along the waterfront and fabulous
Granville Island Public Market awaits you, a mix of artists' studios, shops, restaurants, pubs, theatres and a public
market often featuring musicians and other buskers.

A quick little passenger ferry (as seen on the photograph to the
right) links both the Maritime Museum and Granville Island to the other side of the water--the "West End", Vancouver's downtown & city centre and you are moments away from beautiful

From English Bay walk visit Stanley
Park, the largest city park in Canada, and its famous totems. Stroll around
Lost Lagoon for some bird watching, play pitch & putt golf, hike the park trails, visit the
Vancouver Aquarium or perhaps take a horse trolley ride through the park! You can also walk, bike or
rollerblade on the seawall surrounding the park. |
Maybe sea kayaking for a day on the water, a golf game on one of many local courses or a hike in the nearby parks and mountains. We are also close to historic
Gastown with it's cobble stone and steam clock whistle every hour on the hour, the only one of its kind in the world &
Chinatown, second only to San Francisco's!

A drive across the Lions Gate Bridge takes you to the North Shore. The
Capilano suspension bridge, Vancouver's oldest and most famous attraction!
Cypress Mountain, Mount Seymour and
Grouse Mountain which are the local mountains for skiing, snow shoeing, snow tubing, summer hiking and spectacular views of the city and the surroundings. |

The Vancouver area has more than
16 downhill ski resorts within a five-hour drive of the city limits. Some
as close as 15 minutes-right over on the North Shore. Whistler
Resort is a ski lover's paradise. The number one ski resort in
North America is just a 2 hour drive from Vancouver. |
You can take a 20 minute ferry to beautiful
Bowen Island and spend the day browsing, beaching or hiking. They have excellent restaurants and we can make arrangements for you to stay
at a superb bed & breakfast for a night or two.
