Services Inc., William (Fred) Maile is responsible for managing Canpro
business as well as supervising all criminal investigations and continues to act in an
investigative capacity.
Since the inception of Canpro in 1992,
Fred has supervised and investigated numerous cases of many disciplines; i.e.,
missing children, homicides, frauds, sexual assaults and extortion. He has also supervised
serious threats to business persons and government officials.
Prior to Canpro, Fred served with
the RCMP for 25 years throughout British Columbia. He served in a plainclothes capacity
for 21 of the 25 years, with most of that service in the Provincial Serious Crime Section.
During his career with the RCMP, Fred served as Chief Investigator in numerous
prominent national and international positions. During the Gulf War, Fred was appointed
Security Coordinator for the Province of British Columbia. Fred was appointed the Chief
Investigator for a highly sensitive file involving the attempted murder of a cabinet
minister from India. As chief investigator for numerous high profile investigations,
Fred's skill and knowledge resulted in the apprehension and conviction of several serial
killers. As an accomplished homicide investigator, Fred provided consultation and lecture
material on investigation techniques to police departments and government agencies in
Canada and also for the Green River Task Force in Washington State. Fred is a member and
presently past President of the Private Investigator's Association of B.C.

As a partner of Canpro, Robert Burns
is responsible for coordinating many of the investigations and administering much of the
company's activities. He plays a leading role in the implementation of personal
protection, security details, security consulting, background and threat assessment
investigations. In addition, he oversees the surveillance and covert activity files.
Robert's years of investigative experience include a wide
range of criminal and civil investigations, including serious threats, sabotage/espionage,
internal theft, human resources issues and due diligence. He has eighteen years experience
with insurance fraud and this has led to several media interviews on the subject.
During his career, Robert has acquired extensive
surveillance experience and has managed thousands of surveillance details, and has been
contracted to provide Team Surveillance Training to a section of Federal Government
Investigators.
Operationally, Robert is called upon to analyze the risk to
individuals under threat, consult on their personal and physical security, and assess
their needs. He has coordinated protection, consulting, threat assessments, and risk
management to government clients including the Ministry of Attorney General, Ministry of
Health, federal political figures and Department of Justice. His services are provided to
prominent corporations, CEO's, special interest groups under threat, the entertainment
industry, and the legal community. In addition, Robert provides lectures and
workshops on personal security and safety issues, and is frequently asked to guest speak
for corporate, government, health care, and human resources departments.
